NOISE PREDICTION MODELLING
Noise Management Services utilise state of the art noise modelling software. The software provides a platform to simulate, predict and create complex noise models in both internal and external scenarios. These sophisticated tools provide accurate predictions and simulations to assist with mitigation measures.
The internal noise models can be used for a number of projects or scenarios and provides the tools to accurately model the internal acoustics of a space. The model is used to create room coordinates of large spaces to predict the reverberation time and speech intelligibility, should the criteria not be achieved then required treatment to achieve compliance is can be simulated. The software can be used for but is not limited to:
• The modelling of large and complex internal spaces such as;

o Performance spaces
o Court rooms
The external (environmental noise) models can accurately simulate the propagation of noise from a source or number of sources to the noise sensitive receiver/s taking into account the local topography and local structures. One of the key advantages of using noise modelling software is its ability to model objects that do not currently exist for example, new roads or developments and the ability to predict various noise control methods using a cost versus benefit calculation.
